The Rebrand

2 minute read

SCNDI started in 2024 as a graphic streetwear brand. Bold prints and loud designs on hoodies and tees. We liked them, people liked them, and they sold.

From the outside, there was no reason to change anything.

But somewhere along the way we noticed we were building the wrong thing. Every new design was a reaction to what was popular at that moment. We were following trends instead of setting a direction, and the brand changed shape every time the trends did. It was working but it wasn’t what we had in mind when we started.

The idea behind SCNDI was always bigger than a print. We wanted to capture something about Scandinavia, about the way people live here, and make clothes that belong in that life. Garments you would still reach for in five or ten years. Graphic streetwear was never going to get us there.

In September 2025 we decided to stop.

It was the biggest decision we have made to date. We put aside designs that looked good and that people were buying, and started over with almost nothing. The loud graphics went, and what we kept was the name. From then on, SCNDI itself became the only mark visible.

We spent the next five months rebuilding the brand from the ground up, almost going bankrupt in the process. We spent more time on materials and fit than we ever had on prints. Every piece had to earn its place, and every piece had to fit with the others.

In February 2026 the first knits arrived, in ivory and navy.

The brand matured, and so did our audience. Some of the people who followed the old SCNDI moved on, and others found us for the first time. They were looking for something more settled and more lasting, the same things we were looking for when we made the decision.

Looking back, walking away from something that worked was the only way to build something that lasts.

We’re still building, slowly and for the long term. That was the whole point of starting over.
